We walk together to the Karaköy pier and take a two-hour boat up the Bosphorus at golden hour — past Dolmabahçe Palace, the wooden yalı mansions of Arnavutköy and under the bridge to Rumeli Hisarı. Tea is served on board; bring a jacket, it gets breezy.
